George Garg, a self-proclaimed international wheeler and dealer of used merchandise with 50 years of experience, has landed on the corner of Jackson Avenue and Main Street in downtown Elk River.
He has opened Green Recycler out of the partially vacant main floor of Jackson Place, a critical component of downtown Elk Rivers valiant attempt to revitalize downtown.
If you need money, come to me, he quips regularly.
Garg also works tirelessly to refute the wrath that comes from some when they view his operations as some sort of pawn shop. He makes it very clear he does not run a pawn shop.
When someone says they own a health club, thats one thing, Garg says. When someone says they opened a massage parlor, all of a sudden you can hear the oohs.
