MINNEAPOLIS – A third person was arrested for being involved in extorting more than a half million dollars from a metro man. Police say the victim killed himself in May, but left a note behind exposing the extortion.
Shannon Blair Spears Gura was arrested in Hustville, Alabama and extradited back to Minneapolis on Wednesday.
Investigators believe Gura is the prostitute who had sex with Daniel Kreye. Bloomington police found Kreye dead in a park. According to a Hennepin County criminal complaint, a note inside the victim’s vehicle stated: “I am being extorted over $500,000. Best for my family and friends.”
Police arrested and charged Rickey Eugene Pouncil and Christina Lynn Artac each with two counts of coercion.
According to investigators, Pouncil claimed he was a pimp. He had met the victim in late 2009 and learned the victim was having relationships with prostitutes and didn’t want his family to find out.
