According to investigators, Pouncil claimed he was a pimp. He had met the victim in late 2009 and learned the victim was having relationships with prostitutes and didn’t want his family to find out.
Pouncil told Artac, who admits to being a prostitute, that another prostitute had sex with the victim and video taped it. Pouncil told Artac that the prostitute and he were blackmailing the victim. According to Pouncil, the prostitute received $500,000 but Pouncil was still waiting to get his share of the money.

After executing a search warrant at Pouncil’s home, investigators found a “W” hotel invoice in which the victim is listed as a guest and print outs of sexually explicit text messages between the victim and the prostitute.
