The mother of Terborg said her daughter had been living with her, but was in the process of moving in with Fredrickson into a house on Logan Avenue in Minneapolis. That is where police said Maxwell showed up early Thursday morning and shot both women, killing Terborg.
Forty minutes after that first report early Thursday morning, a 38-year-old Jason Rand was shot and killed in Brooklyn Park. The medical examiner said he died of multiple gunshot wounds.
Around 7:15 a.m., officers in Minneapolis chased a man suspected in both deaths. He committed suicide while talking to police on his cell phone.
The medical examiner identified that man as 40-year-old Trace Maxwell, who also goes by the name Trace Henry. He died of a gunshot wound to the head.
Maxwell’s criminal history reveals an assault, a DWI, and other traffic violations. Sources said he also ran an escort service and worked at a tattoo shop in Minneapolis.
