MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — A Twin Cities-based prostitution Web site has been shut down and the Woodbury woman who allegedly ran it arrested, sending the men who used the service scrambling to cover their tracks.

The Star Tribune reports that documents show more than 350 prostitutes and johns used the Web site. Police were tipped off to it during a yearlong investigation into another prostitution ring involving 30 well-to-do business owners and professionals who called themselves the Minnesota Nice Guys.

The tipster who brought the operation down was a mortgage banker from Minnetonka, a MyFastPass user arrested after his visit with a prostitute.

Since then, people have discussed the case on message boards at a national prostitution Web site. Customers have been changing user names. Informants told Snyder that prostitutes planning to come to the Twin Cities for business have canceled flights.
