A former assistant hockey coach for White Bear Lake Area High School pleaded guilty this week to engaging in prostitution, a misdemeanor.
Bradley Sperling, 46, of White Bear Lake was sentenced immediately after his guilty plea Wednesday. Ramsey County District Judge Rosanne Nathanson ordered him to pay a prostitution fine of $250 and attend a “john school,” an educational program for male clients of prostitutes.
If Sperling follows all terms of probation, including having no similar incidents, his conviction will be dismissed after a one-year probation.
Both Sperling and his attorney declined to comment Thursday.
Marisa Vette of the White Bear Lake school district said Sperling was terminated Jan. 19, a week after his arrest.
