Tyler Grady, who has the big hair and the broken hand and a old-school rocker vibe, seems to lack “big star” quality to me. No “wow” factor here. But he is distinctive enough to make it into the top 24.
-Third up: Lacey Brown. She’s been on before to Hollywood last year but just missed. We get to hear her entire pretty, haunting day 4 “What a Wonderful World” while they note that Ashley Rodriguez, Alex Lambert and barely seen Joe Munoz make it through.
-Seventh up: Crystal Bowersox, the next Joni Mitchell. No brainer. She’s in. Always good to have some crunchy granola in the top 24.
After the second break, we have 14 names in, 10 slots left and 31 people to go. Not a single no has popped up at 9:19 p.m.
-And the producers opt for… another yes! Katie Stevens is one of those obvious picks. She is sweet, talented and pretty. The producers have been pimping her and Andrew Garcia heavily.
